Dance Dance Revolution is a rhythm-based dancing game developed and published by Konami and released on PC on May 24, 2002.
General Information[]
- The user interface is based on Dance Dance Revolution 4thMIX.
- Dance Dance Revolution (PC) has four Play Styles: SINGLE, VERSUS, 6 PANELS and DOUBLE.
- Dance Dance Revolution (PC) features BATTLE, WORKOUT, and EDIT MODEs.
- BABY BABY GIMME YOUR LOVE, CELEBRATE NITE, DYNAMITE RAVE, KEEP ON MOVIN', Let the beat hit em!, LOVE THIS FEELIN', MAKE IT BETTER (So-REAL Mix), PUT YOUR FAITH IN ME, Silent Hill, and WILD RUSH received new BATTLE charts based on their old ones.
- Only I Was The One, Remember You and STILL IN MY HEART have no BATTLE chart.
- Dance Dance Revolution (PC) uses an Internet Ranking feature, although it has since been taken down.
- Song list is comprised entirely of KONAMI originals.
- 48 characters are available in the game.
- 8 characters are unlockable in the game and 24 characters were added as free DLC.

Trivia[]
- Valencia, Guy, Ruby, Sapphire, and later, Rico and Silvia, were the only original characters from this title that would reappear in other Dance Dance Revolution games later on, they all appeared in Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 3's Quest Mode (minus Rico and Silvia), and all of them (minus Ruby and Sapphire) in Dance Dance Revolution UNIVERSE 3 as playable dancers.
- Jason Enos, the manager of the Dance Dance Revolution CS titles in America, appears as a DLC dancer.
- Before the release, only Rage is playable during demo or beginning trials and the song Midnight Blaze was used for the demo.
