While all songs in any version of Dance Dance Revolution (i-αppli) have three difficulties, they have different charts than their arcade or CS counterpart.
All songs scroll at a constant BPM, including previous songs that originally had BPM changes in them.
The trial song is only available before downloading the other songs, probably due to limited storage space on the mobile.
The first version is also referred as DanceDanceREV.
The first version was initially only available on NTT DoCoMo 501 series of mobile only.
The monthly fee was 300 Yen when using the mobile service KONAMI NET (コナミネット).
The app was later released on J-Sky (J-スカイ) on June 22nd, 2001 and ezplus (EZウェブ) on July 1st, 2001.
An i-mode version was released on April 10th, 2002 under the title Dance Dance Revolution Limited Edition for a special monthly fee of 80 Yen.
All the songs are available on three difficulties: EASY, NORMAL and HARD.
Each month, the user received 10 points. Each song cost 1 point.
The game was revamped in 2004 to include more features and better graphics.
