Dancing Stage featuring DREAMS COME TRUE is the second Japanese Dancing Stage video game. The gameplay is similar to Dance Dance Revolution and it has songs performed by the J-Pop group, Dreams Come True.
General Information / Changes[]
Arcade[]
- Game's song list is composed of songs by the J-POP band DREAMS COME TRUE.
- Artist info is not shown in-game since the main music focus is on said group, instead displaying what each song was licensed by.
- Scores are not displayed during gameplay.
- Lyrics are displayed during gameplay.
- Difficulty levels are measured in heels rather than feet. Large heels represents a whole number, while a small heel represents half.
- Like in Dancing Stage featuring TRUE KiSS DESTiNATiON, difficulties and modifiers can only be selected before entering song selection.
- Both players must play the same play settings in Couple and Versus mode by default.
- To enable separate play settings for each player, both players must be holding the start button as the second player joins in.
- The Step Up option (among BASIC, TRICK, and MANIAC) increases the difficulty each stage. It will only appear if the maximum stage count is set to at least 2 or higher.
- In all styles except Double, the second-last stage will be on TRICK difficulty, and the final stage will be on MANIAC difficulty. Any stage preceding these two stages will be on BASIC difficulty if available.
- In Double play, all stages are on BASIC difficulty, with the exception of the final stage, which is on TRICK difficulty.
- First Dance Dance Revolution game to offer speed modifiers besides x2. The mainline Dance Dance Revolution series would not receive these until DDRMAX -Dance Dance Revolution 6thMIX-.
- First Dance Dance Revolution game to feature special arrow types. This practice would later be adapted in the mainline Dance Dance Revolution series beginning with Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA2.
- Only Dance Dance Revolution game to support both the System 573 Analog and Digital platforms.
Home[]
- A direct port of the arcade version of the same name (aside from some CS exclusives requiring CD changes as listed below).
- Total songs: 13 (17, including the GREATEST HITS exclusive songs)
