Trivia[]
- The legend of MAX is the Extra Stage song for Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME. AAing it unlocks Dance Dance Revolution as an Encore Extra Stage.
- However, on the US home version of DDR Extreme, there is no Encore Extra Stage. Thus, AAing LOM on the extra stage will return the player to the title screen. This is different from the home versions of DDRMAX and DDRMAX2 where the Encore Extra Stage was present.
- The legend of MAX has a special Challenge-only version as the Extra Stage X-Special for DDR EXTREME. To unlock, play all the Legend Road songs in order and achieve a AA rank or better on them all. Playing MAX 300 and then an Xmix is also reported to work.
- The legend of MAX's BPM on DDR EXTREME was displayed as a random number. On DDR SuperNOVA onwards, it is displayed as 83-333, though its highest BPM is 666 as a freeze jump on all difficulties.
- This made The legend of MAX the fastest song of its time until the introduction of Pluto Relinquish in DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA2, which goes up to a stunning 800. This then-new 800 BPM record would later be broken by Tohoku EVOLVED from DanceDanceRevolution X3 VS 2ndMIX, which speeds up to an extremely high BPM of 1020 at the end.
- On Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME, despite being the fastest song in the game, it is considered the second final boss in the game, before PARANOIA survivor MAX Challenge as evident on the Legend Oni Course.
- PARANOiA Revolution's Expert chart uses the first 8 measures of The legend of MAX's Expert chart, before the Anti-Matter portion.
- The background video for The legend of MAX is shown where two guys are in a chase. As figured out or guessing from the fact the file names for the video backgrounds were called "chase," the video probably resembles a chase scene.
